We also include a day float down the Colorado River, an amazing way to end your trip. The cliff Dwellers Lodge offers a delicious dinner menu and outdoor patio seating under the sunset glow of the Vermillion Cliffs. The seldom traveled Marble Canyon will intrigue you with its vast vistas, and spectacular access to the Colorado River

Itinerary - The final itinerary may change due to weather or any unforeseen circumstance(s).

Day 1:
Depart Flagstaff early for your scenic drive through Northern Arizona. Along the way we will stop for a hike down Cathedral Wash, a narrow side canyon that takes you to the Colorado River, at the bottom of Grand Canyon. You will see the many colorful layers of the Painted Desert, the Navajo Reservation, and Vermillion Cliffs landing at Marble Canyon. After hiking down Cathedral wash we will check out Lee's Ferry where river rafters launch for their travels down Grand Canyon. There is great history here including old structures to explore, and John D. Lee?s orchard. Another hike will take you up the Spencer Trail to the top of the Vermillion Cliffs. After our hike we will travel to our Cliff Dwellers hotel and get cleaned. The day finishes with a relaxing dinner. (6-10+ miles of hiking) (L) (D)

Day 2:
After an early breakfast we are off for a full day of exploring. You will travel by vehicle to any number of trailheads in the area. These options may include a hike to the Colorado River down Rider Canyon, or Soap Creak, or a climb up to the top of the Vermillion Cliffs via an ancient Indian route and exploration beyond. Whatever you and your guide decide, be sure to bring your cameras, and hiking shoes. It?s going to be a full day of canyon exploration. This day ends back at the lodge for an evening dinner. (6-20+ miles of hiking) (B) (L) (D)

Day 3:

Today's journey will begin early as we drive to the Kaibab Plateau, or depending on the weather, and time of year, spend another full day exploring the endless terrain of the Marble Canyon region. In either case you are looking at a full day of fun hiking, and amazing views. There is history to rediscover, as well as trails, and routes to be traveled. Again we will return to our lodge for dinner and sleep. (6-20+ miles of hiking) (B) (L) (D)

Day 4:
Today we will pack up and be on our way after breakfast. Our first stop includes a short hike to Horseshoe Bend overlook. Then we will meet Colorado River Discovery in Page, AZ for the float trip down the Colorado River. This float will last until 3:00pm and take you to Lee's Ferry where your guide will meet you and you will then travel back to Flagstaff. We will arrive in Flagstaff around 5:30 pm. (3 miles of hiking)(B) (L)
