Kane Gulch trail leads into one of the most pristine segments of Grand Gulch. It contains a plentitude
of cliff dwellings, granaries, ruins and rock art left behind by the ancient Anasazi Indians.
Hiking into Grand Gulch, as the ancient Anasazi and Fremont Indian’s once did hundreds of years
ago, is the best way to experience the many remarkable archaeological sites and natural beauty of these
sandstone canyons. Along the trail you will come across a many cliff dwellings, granaries, ruins, rock
art, pottery shards, natural arches, vaulted amphitheaters, and hoodoos. This truly is one of
the most unforgettable backpacking trails in Utah and it entices many of our clients to return time
and time again.
