Brian Treacy, Owner and Lead Guide at Four Season
Guides.
Brian made the decision to open a guiding service after finding
that he spent more time in the outdoors than at his office job. Shortly after graduating
from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Small Business Management, Brian
partnered up with long time friend and owner of Four Season Outfitters, to create
Four Season Guides. Brian's extensive backcountry experience ranges from the Canadian
Rockies to the Swiss Alps, and all across the United States with a particular interest
in the Southwest. In his own words, Brian describes his experiences in the Grand
Canyon as "peaceful, humbling, powerful, and exciting. The scenery rewards
the hard work and effort you put into exploring this endless canyon." Brian's
passion and respect for the outdoors is manifested into his business philosophy
and constant effort to improve his leadership skills and competence in wilderness
safety. Brian maintains current certifications in Wilderness First Responder, and
is a trainer for the Leave No Trace program and is actively involved in organizations
to promote preservation of our precious lands. In addition, to his backpacking pursuits,
Brian enjoys skiing, snowshoeing, boating, geology, astronomy, romping with his
dogs, and holds an Arizona Fly-Fishing Guiding license, as fly-fishing remains his
favorite pastime. Brian's personal, professional and educational achievements promote
confidence in his guiding skills.

Dean Hoffman - Trip Leader/Technical Ropes Instructor
After moving to Flagstaff in 1996 to pursue
a degree in History Education, Dean fell in love with the town and its surrounding
areas. Shortly after graduating with his B.S. in History Education he just couldn't
leave, due in large part to a new found love of climbing and backpacking. After
completing his Wilderness First Responder Dean decided to put teaching on hold and
try to find some sort of work in the outdoors; first working as a backpacking and
climbing guide for NAU Outdoors, then as a sea kayaking guide, and eventually Four
Seasons. As with all the guides at FSO Dean has completed his Wilderness First Responder/EMT
and still actively participates as a volunteer instructor with classes. When Dean
is not climbing or guiding he is a paramedic for the city of Flagstaff.

Ryanne Sebern - Operations Manger and Trip Leader
Ryanne grew up in a small town in the foothills of Colorado. Every
day was spent outdoors fostering her love and appreciation for the environment.
As a child Ryanne passed time on camping trips with her dad, and spent days at Mom's
health food store developing interests in the outdoors, fitness, and health. Upon
completion of high school in the Denver area, Ryanne searched for a place to attend
college. Northern Arizona University came up first on the list so in 1992 she packed
up and headed south to Flagstaff, AZ, where she developed an interest in the arts.
Ryanne completed two bachelor degrees at Northern Arizona University; one in fine
arts, and the other in art education. Ryanne experienced her first Grand Canyon
backpacking trip down the Hermit trail. That first trip was an eye opener, a jaw
dropper, and it began a life long addiction to the vast canyon country of the southwest.
Many years later, she has become an experienced backpacker and canyon explorer,
practices "leave no trace" ethics and is a certified wilderness first
responder. When Ryanne is off the trail she creates fine art jewelry and shows in
galleries throughout AZ. Much of her work is inspired by her canyon visions, her
interpretation of her surroundings, native plants, and even insects.

Brian Siebert – Trip Leader
Brian has been a guide with us for 8 years
now and he is still blowing us away with his knowledge and skills. Born and raised
in Arizona, Brian’s love and appreciation for the deserts and canyons in the
Southwest started very young and overflowed into the Boy Scouts where he became
an Eagle Scout. He would then later pursue a degree from Arizona State University
in geology, before his passion for the outdoors turned towards mountain bikes.
Brian had an exciting bike career where he raced professionally for four years and
smashed many records before moving onto his other hobbies. Still to this day
he builds bike tools on the side and rides with his friends all over the Four Corners
and Mexico. Just make sure you like to ride a 100 or more miles in a day before
you go out with him. Brian is extremely quick on is feet and very good at improvising.
He laid down the foundation for these skills on his own, but fine-tuned them in
Alaska where he worked at an outdoor survival school for two years. After that,
he guided for an Alaskan Outfitter that was only accessible by plane and the groups
would be left in the backcountry for two weeks at a time with no form of communication
to the outside world. Since then Brian has further tuned his skills with certifications
in Leave No Trace, Wilderness Medicine, Avalanche Rescue, and Technical Rope Safety.
He is also an amazing backcountry chef.

Scott Victor - Trip Leader
Born and raised in St. Louis, Scott developed an appreciation
for the outdoors in the Ozarks of Missouri and Arkansas. Here he spent many
days swatting flies while canoeing down the beautiful waters of the Ozark National
Scenic Riverways and hiking the beautiful mountains in the surrounding area.
Scott moved to Flagstaff in 1996 to attend Northern Arizona University and study
Communications. Northern Arizona only deepened his interest in the outdoors.
When he wasn’t attending classes, he spent all of his free time traveling
and exploring the west, especially the four-corner’s region. Scott has
hiked and traveled throughout the Southwest more than most of us will do in our
entire lives. He has also spent time traveling and working in British Columbia,
Mexico, Guatemala, and Belize. When Victor is not in the Grand Canyon carrying
a 90lb. backpack he gets his fix from mountain biking, climbing and bouldering with
his dog Aspen. Scott’s love for the canyon was instantaneous and it
is reflected in his guiding skills. He also has a special appreciation for
the deserts and canyons of southern Utah, which he believes to be the most beautiful
spot in the United States. We are excited to have Scott joining us again for
his 8th year.

Bob Cheeseman - Trip Leader
Bob started with an early passion for the great outdoors, reinforced
by may trips and summers around New England's lakes and mountains. Several trips
as young man to Colorado's Rocky Mountains made him dream of the West and would
eventually lead him to the mountains and canyons of Northern Arizona. Many years
in the Boy Scouts gave Bob a good foundation for camping and outdoor survival. Bob
attended a small college in New Hampshire. Here, he was active in the Outdoor Club,
Lacrosse Club, mountain biking, kayaking and was a peer advisor for incoming freshman.
Bob received his Bachelor's Degree in Education, with a minor in Art, where he specialized
in creating stained glass windows and painting. While student teaching, Bob lived
in a small cabin in New Hampshire's rugged White Mountains. In this setting Bob
was fully able to concentrate on studies and explore the wilds just outside his
doorstep. A year after graduation, Bob made a life changing decision to move west
to Arizona. Never having been there, this turned out to be one of the best decisions
of his life. He immediately fell in love with his newfound natural surroundings.
After a couple of years of carpentry and excursions into the wilderness every chance
he got, Bob landed a part time job making stained glass windows. This rewarding
job eventually led to the meeting of Brian and working for Four Season Guides. The
story continues with Bob enjoying backcountry adventures with new friends most of
the year, and still doing artwork in his off-trail time. This will be Bob’s
9th year guiding in the canyon.

Alex McLellan – Trip Leader
Alex's obsession with the outdoors began exploring
the back roads and trails of Arizona's Mogollon Rim as a young child. Alex's backcountry
skills were initially forged throughout his time in the Boy Scouts, backpacking
in various mountains and canyons throughout Arizona and New Mexico. The decision
to attend college at Northern Arizona University brought Alex closer to the forests
and canyons, allowing him plentiful opportunities to hike, camp and mountain bike.
After exploring several different majors including music education and wildlife
biology, Alex decided to stick with what he knew and pursued a degree in Parks and
Recreation Management with an emphasis in outdoor leadership. He went on to intern
and eventually instruct for Outward Bound, leading backpacking and mountaineering
