Day 1:
This trip has everything!  The day will start with a pickup from your hotel before traveling down one of the most historical roads in the area to your launch site on the Colorado River.   Before you shove off in your state of the art kayak our knowledgeable and experienced guide will give you a lesson in basic paddling and general river safety.  Once on the river keep your eyes open for some of the local wildlife.  One typically sees Big Horn Sheep, Bald Eagles and wild Burros.  Some of the highlights we will experience the first day before having a great dinner on a beach along the Colorado River include the Sauna Cave and soaking in the Arizona Hot Spring.  Viewing sunsets from the river deep in Black Canyon are like nothing else.   (L) (D)

Day 2:
After a great nights sleep under the stars, you will start your morning with a hearty breakfast and a cup of coffee; perhaps get in some fishing before shoving off for another day of adventure.  There are still many highlights to come including Goldstrike Canyon and the Emerald Cave.  Whether you choose to come in the winter so you can soak in the hot springs, some as warm as 111F (44C) or in the heat of the summer to cool off in the refreshing Colorado River 54F (12C) you will want to come again and again.  Two days allows one to fully take in all the beauty without feeling rushed. This unbelievably scenic tour will leave you wanting more.  (B) (L)

Even though this is flat water and not whitewater, safety is always our top priority and that is why life jackets are worn at all times.  If you don’t want to wear a life jacket please do not come!

Make it three days by adding a backpacking trip into Grapevine Canyon.  Great Rock art!!

What’s Included?

Top of the line kayaks, paddle, life jacket, dry bag, tent, sleeping bag/fleece blankets, sleeping pad, all meals, from lunch day one through lunch day two, snacks, bottled water, transportation to and from hotel and a medically trained and knowledgeable guide.
