Itinerary - The final itinerary may change due to weather or any unforeseen circumstance(s).

Day 1:
We will depart Flagstaff at 6am and travel along the edge of The Painted Desert through Navajo Lands to Lake Powell. Our water experience will begin with an introductory paddle- getting acquainted with the boats and the lake. A bit later we will make our way to camp- exploring magically lit, smoothly curving walls of towering Navajo Sandstone. The clear blue water and reflections of sandstone cliffs make for an amazing sunset paddle or an evening on the beach. (L) (D)

Day 2:
Waking up in the early morning, we'll prepare for a full day of paddling up one of the many side canyons, right from camp. Each has its own charm and is filled with the element of surprise as you round that next corner. There are also possibilities for hiking and swimming throughout the day. We will enjoy lunch surrounded by colorful cliffs striped with desert varnish, bask in the sun, or cool off in the shade, and indulge in the peaceful quiet of the lake. (B) (L) (D)

Day 3:

Today we will pack up camp and get a morning paddle in through a nearby canyon. This will give us one more chance to enjoy the towering buttes and isolated islands of dramatic Lake Powell, as well as the unique view of a vast sandstone desert from the water. We will picnic in route and eventually pull off of the lake returning to Flagstaff around 4pm. (B) (L)

4-5 day itineraries will allow for additional kayaking in the various canyons, and additional side hikes in the Lake Powell area including West Canyon, and more.
Custom trips of 6 to 8 days can be scheduled for groups of 4 or more. Just contact us.
