Lake Powell
- Sea Kayaking
Imagine being surrounded by towering red spires and crystal blue waters, running down sand dunes, and paddling into narrow slot canyons. This is just the beginning of a Lake Powell kayaking adventure. This massive reservoir is one of the largest in the United States; only second in size to Lake Mead, with 1900 miles of shoreline, and hundreds of side canyons, Lake Powell offers endless opportunities for exploration. Spend the days paddling and hiking through sandstone canyons, discovering signs of ancient life. At night relax on the sandy beaches under millions of sparkling stars. Lake Powell is situated on the Colorado Plateau on the Utah/Arizona border. It is fed by the Colorado, Escalante, and San Juan Rivers and sends water downstream through The Grand Canyon via The Glen Canyon Dam
