This adventure is one of our guide's, as well as client's most beloved trip. This excursion explores some of the best day hikes Grand Canyon North Rim has to offer (without carrying a heavy backpack). Each day hike will embark on a new journey, while returning to base camp every night. Here you will find a delicious meal waiting next to the campfire. Some of the highlights include: a canyon hike to the Colorado River, forested rim hikes, and sleeping under a star filled sky. On this off-the-beaten path adventure we travel along the rim and below, getting an extraordinary feeling of what the Grand Canyon has to offer.

Itinerary - The final itinerary may change due to weather or any unforeseen circumstance(s).

Day 1:
Depart Flagstaff early for your scenic drive through Northern Arizona. Along the way we will stop for a hike down Cathedral Wash, a narrow side canyon that takes you to the Colorado River, at the bottom of Grand Canyon. You will see the many colorful layers of the Painted Desert, the Navajo Reservation, Vermillion Cliffs and Marble Canyon before climbing from the desert, onto the forested Kaibab Plateau. This day ends at camp, with a short walk overlooking the Grand Canyon for sunset. (3-5 miles of hiking) (L) (D)

Day 2:
After an early breakfast we are off for a full day of hiking. You will take a quick drive to the trailhead for a great hike on the historic North Kaibab Trail. This trail is where hikers often begin their Rim to Rim adventures. It is well traveled offering incredible vistas and optional turn- around points for varied hiking abilities. Enjoy resting your legs after the hike while touring to select view points. Return to camp for rest and relaxation by the camp fire. (3-10 miles of hiking) (B)(L)(D)

Day 3:
Today's journey will bring us incredible views from the rim as we explore one or a couple of the rim trails near our camp. Choose between Widforss Point, The Ken Patrick Trail, Cape Final, and Cliff Springs just to name a few. Visit the highest point on the North Rim- Point Imperial, and finish off a spectacular day with sunset on the patio of the historic North Rim Lodge. (6-16 miles of hiking) (B) (L) (D)

Day 4:
An early start will allow enough time for your guide to pack up camp- And then take another scenic hike before the return trip to Flagstaff. Possibilities include exploring North Canyon or Saddle Mountain. (around 5 miles of hiking) (B) (L)

A fifth day will allow more time to explore other areas such as Swamp Point, Transept Canyon, The Walhalla Plateau, or Tiyo Point Trail.
