Daily hiking mileages of 8 to 12 miles, maintained or unmaintained trails with up to 4500 feet of elevation change, pack weight is up to 20 pounds. Trails are often steep, involve high elevations, and there may be some exposure to heights. Participants should be in excellent health, regularly active and exercise vigorously 4 to 5 days per week.
