Tamara hails from San Jose, CA, and was raised in Albuquerque, NM, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors through countless hours spent hiking, camping, backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, and snowboarding. She pursued her studies at Santa Clara University, majoring in civil engineering while also playing soccer, and later earned a degree in Geology from the University of New Mexico. Tamara found her true calling in guiding and has passionately been leading adventures for over a decade on the Colorado Trail, in Rocky Mountain National Park, and in the Grand Canyon. She enjoys her free time snowboarding in the majestic San Juan Mountains and discovering new routes in Grand Canyon.
