We hiked the Grand Canyon Rim to Rim in August 2019. The trip exceeded our expectations in every way except one: We expected to be hot and miserable (it was 112F in the shade), and instead we were comfortable and had a blast! Our guide, Matt, was incredibly knowledgeable. He knew how to time everything such that we hiked in the shade most of the way. He also knew the best places to cool off in a creek or play in a waterfall. It was great at the end of the day to have somebody else set up camp and cook us a delicious meal, allowing us to soak up the grandeur of the Canyon.

This was our 3rd trip with FSG! My wife and I have done a basecamp trip in Utah, Rim to Rim of the GC, and our longest and most recent Red Peak Pass Loop backpacking in Yosemite with FSG and it is all awesome!!! ... Bob kept the 4 of us on a pace that also kept us healthy and provided ample snacks and opportunities to get water, which were critical in the summer heat.
